After going to see their Sonic Arboretum exhibit at the Chicago Modern Art Museum, I applied for an internship at Specimen Products, and was quickly emailed back with an offer!  While there I learned each process involved in creating their 19" Hornlets and 26" Hornlings.  Using materials like cardboard, superglue, wood, and baking soda, each horn is created.  After building the horns I learned to french polish, turning the cardboard into a more solidified unit. 

Over my 9 months there, I helped with the shaping of various project ideas, did basic repairing & maintenance of instruments, guitar set ups, and learned a ton about the guitar & amp building process as a whole.  I later applied a lot of what I learned when building my first guitar!
